Abia State Polytechnic, Aba

The Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, was established by Edit No. 8 of 1994, with retroactive effect from October 2, 1992. It is housed in the former Girls Technical College (GTC) Aba on Aba Owerri Road. The initial intake consisted of students enrolled in several Certificate Programs. The National Diploma Programs began in the academic year 1994/1995. In the 1999/2000 school year, the Higher National Diploma Programmes were launched.

Abia State Polytechnic is located in Aba, Nigeria, in the heart of Abia State. There are two campuses: one in Aba and one in Umuahia. It is made up of several schools, including the School of Science and Engineering and the School of Business Administration. Abia State Polytechnic is an academic powerhouse.
